I am out of Tokyo for a little while, but have been a doing a little reading while away. Here is a great article about some late spring berries that can be found around Tokyo; momiji ichigo (literally “maple strawberry”, pictured) and yamaguwa (wild mulberries). I have seen mulberries in Tokyo, but haven’t been lucky enough to find momiji ichigo.
